Come join us for a dance in the San Lorenzo Canyon!

The dance starts at 7pm, we'll plan on ending around 11:30pm. It takes about an hour to get there from the Los Lunas stake center. We'll plan on meeting at the stake center at 5:45 to take as few cars as possible, though you're free to make your own arrangements at a more convenient location for you. Here are the directions:

SOUTHBOUND on Interstate 25, exit at mile marker 163 (San Acacia). Turn left at the stop sign and proceed over I-25. Turn right on the East Frontage Road, which is immediately past the I-25 northbound exit. Proceed approximately 2.3 miles to the second road that tunnels under I-25. Turn right through the tunnel, and then veer to the right onto the unpaved road and drive an additional 2 miles to the San Lorenzo Canyon sign. Turn right and continue approximately 2.5 miles up the wash to the canyon. Follow the directional signs.

NORTHBOUND on Interstate 25, exit at mile marker 156 (Lemitar). Turn left at the stop sign and immediately right onto the west Frontage Road and proceed approximately 4.6 miles to the San Lorenzo Canyon sign. Turn right at the sign and continue approximately 2.5 miles up the wash to the canyon. Follow directional signs. A 4-wheel drive is highly recommended for the final 2 miles. Otherwise, proceed with caution so you don't get stuck. Especially going home!

Click here to see the location of the gate to the canyon, from here you should be able to follow signs.

Come with us to the River of Lights. We have limited tickets available based on the headcount we have been collecting over the last couple of weeks. If you suspect you are not part of that headcount or didn't let anyone you intended to go, please reach out and make sure we know and have a ticket ready for you. Meet at the Bio Park entrance before 7pm (our entry to the river of lights begins at 7pm, but you can enter any time between 7 and 8). The address of the park is:

2601 Central Ave. SW, Albuquerque, NM 87104.

You can park there, but it gets pretty busy and you often have to park in a dirt lot and walk a little bit. You can also take advantage of Park and Ride below. It will be cold! We will be walking around outside, so please dress accordingly.

Some additional information about park and ride:

 • Take advantage of our FREE Park & Ride located at the ABQ BioPark Zoo (903 Tenth St. SW, Albuquerque, NM 87102).
 • When heading to Park & Ride, avoid the traffic and take I-40 to 12th Street or I-25 to Lead Ave., then travel to the ABQ BioPark Zoo.
 • There is no need to park in the neighborhood or pay for parking at other non-River of Lights businesses. The Botanic Garden parking lot and Park & Ride at the Zoo provide plenty of free parking for all guests.
